3582 series pneumatic and 3582i electro-pneumatic valve positioners
3582 series pneumatic valve positioners and 3582i electro-pneumatic valve positioners (as shown in Figure 2) are used with diaphragm-actuated mechanical and straight-through control valve assemblies. The pneumatic valve positioner receives an input signal from the control device and adjusts the output to the control valve actuator, thereby providing a precise stem position proportional to the pneumatic input signal.
The Model 3582NS positioner meets the typical requirements of the nuclear power industry. The Model 3582NS construction includes materials that provide excellent performance in high temperature and high radiation environments. The O-rings are EPDM (Ethylene Propylene) and the diaphragms are EPDM/Nomex. EPDM shows better temperature resistance and storage life than nitrile rubber. The Nomex diaphragm fiber shows better strength in high temperature and high radiation conditions.
